Washington Age? 33 Family? Married mom of two boys. What do you do for a living?
Administrative Assistant for an Environmental
Consulting Firm What other hobbies do you enjoy participating in?
Livejournal, reading, and collecting cows How long have you been writing fanfiction?
Umm...I started writing fanfiction October of 2000. How did you get started writing it?
I was desperately seeking Kim/Seven of Nine fanfiction
in the Star Trek: Voyager genre and coming up empty. I
figured the only way I was going to get what I wanted
was to write it myself. I took a break from writing
Trek fic (except for being involved with a side
project called Delta Fleet) and started writing again
in August 2003, when I wrote my very first LOTR fic.
It was also my second attempt at writing slash. Which are your favorite characters to write about?
Glorfindel, Haldir, Thranduil, Rumil, Orophin,
Elladan, Elrohir, and Erestor. And not neccessarily in
that order ;) What is your favorite genre/style, etc to write in? I generally stick to
romance. Some of its fluffy, some of its pwp. I try to
put humor in just about everything I write. I write
both het and slash. What other fandoms besides LOTR have you written in?
Star Trek: Voyager, BTVS/POTC crossover, QaF/BHD
crossover, and Anita Blake Do you write original fiction or poetry as well,
either published or unpublished?
I try to write original fiction, but nothing is
published yet. As for poetry, I'm afraid Haiku is all
I can manage. What gives you the best inspiration for your stories?
Reading books often inspires me - I get a "what if" in
my head that runs away with me sometimes. Music, not
so much, though I do listen to music typically when I
write. Occasionally a good photo/painting/drawing will
also inspire my muses. They are fickle creatures,
though. Anything else you would like to say?
I started writing fanfiction to learn to write better,
and also to feed my cravings for the kind of stories I
wanted to see. I've enjoyed meeting like-minded people
on the 'net, especially when it comes to my love of
slash. Its been a wonderful experience for me, and has
given me the opportunity to speak with people all over
the world. I encourage those who want to write to get
out there and do it - and learn from those who want to
help you write better. I've learned a lot from other
writers, and I know that my writing has vastly
improved because of their help and encouragement.
