Pen name? Levade Email you prefer to receive feedback at? levade@gmail.com Link to website if you have one? No website. All of my stories for LotR are up at fanfiction.net (I know...groan) Links to other favorite websites? Elf on a Shelf: wozupdoc.net/ring.html Where do you live? San Francisco, California Age? 35 Family? Married with various and assorted managerie of pets (not including my husband ;) What do you do for a living? I work for an Italian import company What other hobbies do you enjoy participating in? photography, hiking, camping, volunteering, calligraphy, travelling How long have you been writing fanfiction? Since I could hold a crayon and write letters? Seriously, I don't remember a time I wasn't telling myself
stories to keep entertained. Friends and I formed a story-writing club in grade school and wrote reams of
Truly Awful stories. Makes me thankful none of us owned computers. How did you get started writing it? I wrote fanfic before I knew others besides my friends were also doing so -- a story/movie would end and I
hated to see something good end, so would just start writing whatever adventures I could think of for
that set of characters. I think my first full-length story though was a Black Stallion adventure at some
point in fourth grade. I still hate waiting for the next book or movie to come out in any fandom I'm in. :) Which are your favorite characters to write about? I tend to like odd characters - those with either something about them that sets them apart (like
Glorfindel being re-embodied), or those who are just plain quirky. I like Pixar's theory of story-telling --
take a "normal" story, tweak it, twist it, throw it in the dryer and shrink it a bit until it's warped, then pull
it out and throw it up on a wall to see how it looks. Humour though...it has to have humour. What is your favorite genre/style, etc to write in? No favourite genre. I adore humour, but it's not easy to write as everyone has very definite ideas of what
is funny to *them*. What other fandoms besides LOTR have you written in? Too many. *g* Buffy, Star Wars, Anita Blake, NightRunners, and too many other assorted TV shows. Do you write original fiction or poetry as well, either published or unpublished? Not poetry, but original, yes. It just never sees the light of day and that's just as well. What gives you the best inspiration for your stories? No idea, really. It's different each time. Sometimes it's something someone says, other times it's seeing
something in a book or movie. Something odd will spark an idea and it's a matter of keeping up with it
before it runs off at that point. Anything else you would like to say? Thanks for reading! :)
