Pen name? Mirasaui Email you prefer to receive feedback at? mirasaui@aol.com Where do you live? Louisiana Age? Heheh Family? Married, one teenaged son What do you do for a living? I worked for 14 years as a jeweler, metal-smith and computer programmer
at a manufacturing jewelry company then did bookkeeping for a nursing home management company. I
quit after my son was born and have not worked since - by choice. What other hobbies do you enjoy participating in? Reading, archery, tennis, embroidery. But when I got
back into LOTR those went by the wayside. How long have you been writing fanfiction/making fanart? I began my first fan fic story
in 2003 and wrote fairly regularly for about a year. I have not written much in 2005
except role play. How did you get started writing/making it? I discovered the LOTR fandom right after PJ's FOTR was
released, read for about a year and decided to try and write a story. As to art, I majored in Fine Art but
specialized in jewelery and metal-smithing. Painting and drawing were not my forte'. I started doing
manips about a year after I started writing fan fiction but only dabbled. A few months ago, I joined
Thalassa's manipulation group and with the weekly challenges, I have learned quite a lot about
PhotoShop. I am now doing more art than writing. Which are your favorite characters to write/draw about? Elves, of course. Mainly Glorfindel and Haldir
but also Erestor, Rumil, Orophin, Lindir, Celebrimbor, Ecthelion and Galdor. A few of those just happen
to be my rp characters. What is your favorite genre/style, etc to write in? I write either elf slash or general stories, mostly romance with a touch of angst. I
have tried writing humour with mixed result. What other fandoms besides LOTR have you written/drawn in? I have written in LOTR only. As to art, I
did one Alexander manip and a few others that were non-LOTR themed. But mostly, I stick with Elves. Do you write original fiction or poetry as well, either published or unpublished? No What gives you the best inspiration for your stories/pictures? Usually, I just sit a the keyboard and start writing. Occasionally, a sad story or song will put me in a
mood to write angst. Art is different. Working with other artists - competition - is when I do my best. Anything else you would like to say? Not really, except to beg some of these great authors to write more
Glorfindel/Haldir. Truly, there is not enough of that pairing!
