Erestor is behaving strangely and he tries to find out what is amiss
with his lover. Meanwhile the young twins finally decide on their
own gift for their tutor.
Chapter 1/4.
Sensing he was not alone in his bedchamber Glorfindel reached for
his raven haired lover, only to find the place next to him
unexpectedly empty. In the space of a heartbeat he become fully
alert, his eyes widening in surprise as they focussed on the two
pairs of identical grey ones that belonged Elrond's sons, boys of
only twenty summers, who stood beside the bed.
"Are you awake, Glorfindel?" Elladan asked as Elrohir shook his
tutor's shoulder. The golden haired seneschal nodded and indicated
his uninvited guests should sit next to him on the bed, for he did
not particularly feel like rising as yet. He looked around, but saw
no sign of Erestor and was disappointed not to have the chance for
a sweet good morning kiss from his lover who had most likely already
begun his day,. He also heaved a sigh of relief that he would not be
called upon to explain the advisor's presence in his bedchamber at
this early hour. Although he and his dark haired beauty had been
lovers for centuries, only Elrond was aware of the true nature of
their relationship and their private life was certainly not a
subject for discussion with young children.
"Indeed I am, but why are you two here?" he asked as he
unsuccessfully reached to tickle them both at once. The young ones
giggled merrily and easily avoided his grasp, Elrohir moving a
little too close to the edge of the bed only to be saved from
landing heavily on the slate floor by the warrior's sharp reflexes.
"Someone promised to take us riding today," explained Elladan
raising his eyebrow in a fair imitation of his Ada and eliciting
much laughter from his brother and Glorfindel.
"I can not imagine who would be foolish enough to do so, you two are
nothing but trouble," teased the seneschal feigning ignorance of the
day's plans.
"You did, Glorfindel! You promised!" Elrohir reminded him crossly as
he pulled at the sheet that was the only thing covering Glorfindel's
nakedness.
"Now why would I offer to give you another lesson when you both
complained bitterly about sore behinds after your first one?" he
asked. Both boys blushed furiously but Elladan was not to be
deterred and knew exactly what to say in reply.
"Because you love us and want us to be great warriors like you are,"
he replied as he hugged Glorfindel around the neck, almost choking
him in his exuberance.
"Aye, that must be the reason," agreed the seneschal laughing as
Elrohir joined in the display of affection. "But unless you two
release me and allow me to dress, we will not be going anywhere."
The two young ones needed no further encouragement and quickly did
as they were asked. Glorfindel pulled the remainder of the sheet
aside and rose from the bed to the sound of muffled giggles.
"What is so amusing?" he asked as he made his way to his armoire and
selected his clothes for the day.
"You forgot to wear your nightshirt." Elladan pointed out amidst
another burst of giggles. Glorfindel looked down at his nakedness,
shook his head in confusion and then scowled at the twins. The sight
of a naked male elf was nothing new to them nor a cause for
embarrassment, for they all often bathed together in the communal
pools.
"I did not forget anything and I do not own any sleeping attire
since I always sleep unclothed." Glorfindel said, an amused smile
playing on his lips at their surprise at what they apparently
considered was slightly scandalous behaviour
"Do you not feel the cold at night?" asked Elrohir voicing his
sudden concern for his beloved tutor in a manner that Glorfindel
found heart-warming.
"Nay, full elves do not, `tis only you and your Ada who are affected
by the chill of the night air," he replied, thinking to himself that
with Erestor wrapped in his arms with nothing but their bare skin
and hardened arousals between them as was the case each night, he
felt anything but cold. A shudder of ecstasy passed through his body
as he recalled the height of his pleasure, and did not go unnoticed
by curious young eyes.
"Then why are you shivering?" Elrohir asked pointedly.
"'Tis merely an exercise to ensure I am fully awake," lied
Glorfindel who had no intention of offering any other explanation to
ones of their tender years. Besides, he firmly believed that any
such revelation of the joys of loving was definitely Elrond's
responsibility. Fortunately the twins seemed to accept that
explanation, although Glorfindel paled when he saw them both follow
his example and he quickly donned his tunic and leggings.
"Erestor is a full elf and he was wearing a nightshirt under his
robe when we saw him in the hallway this morning," stated Elladan
daring to contradict his elder after he completed his `exercise'.
"Aye, a nightshirt that was crinkled and dirty," confirmed Elrohir.
"And his hair was really messy," added Elladan as he watched a now
fully dressed Glorfindel tend to the golden locks that had become a
tangled mass thanks to Erestor's passionate responses.
Obviously neither of the twins had seen the normally immaculate
tutor in such a state of disarray and Glorfindel smiled, imagining
how embarrassed Erestor must have been to be caught in such a
compromising situation after their night of particularly ardent love
making.
"That does not sound like the Erestor we know." The seneschal's brow
furrowed in concern at this totally uncharacteristic behaviour as he
voiced his thoughts. "You both know that Erestor would be very upset
if you mentioned seeing him in such a state so I ask that you say
nothing until I have a chance to speak with him and see what ails
him," Glorfindel requested in an attempt to rescue his beloved's
dignity. There definitely something amiss and he untended to find
out what it was as soon as possible. Seeing the serious demeanour on
the fair face of their elder who had knelt down to draw them into a
warm hug, the twins nodded their agreement, neither wanting to hurt
the Advisor they loved as much as their seneschal.
"Excellent, then perhaps we should make haste, the sooner we finish
the morning meal, the sooner your next lesson can begin," declared
Glorfindel laughing merrily as two small hands eagerly took hold of
his larger ones and dragged him towards the dining hall.
To Glorfindel's relief, Erestor was already there, deeply engrossed
in a conversation with Elrond that was interrupted when the twins
rushed to bid their Ada good morning. Erestor looked up at his lover
and excused himself from the table.
"I believe Glorfindel wants a private word," he said meaningfully to
Elrond who nodded proceeded to fill his son's plates with breakfast
as the two left the hall.
"Ada, did you know that Glorfindel wears nothing to bed and that he
does not own a nightshirt?" Caught off guard by such an unlikely
topic, Elrond almost choked on his tea.
"How do you know this?" he managed to ask when the coughing subsided.
"He told us when we woke him this morning," Elladan explained
absently as he devoured another of his favourite pastries.
"Aye, but I am sure he feels cold at night, so we should give him
one for his begetting day," suggested Elrohir who had already spent
days wondering what Glorfindel might want to receive as a present
for his special day which was only a week away.
"I think that can be arranged," replied a highly amused Elrond
knowing it was unlikely that Glorfindel would wish wear the gift
even if Erestor allowed it.
For the second time that morning Glorfindel's hand was seized, only
this time his skin tingled in the sensuous grip of his lover's
fingers as Erestor pulled him towards a shadowed doorway. As soon as
they were out of plain sight, a silent Erestor flung his arms around
Glorfindel's neck and hungrily claimed his lover's lips in a
passionate kiss that was eagerly returned.
"Good morning, my love," Erestor whispered when they finally parted
for breath.
"It is now. Why did you leave me alone last night?" asked
Glorfindel, clearly hurt by Erestor's disappearance. An elegant
finger reached up to caress his cheek and dark eyes filled with
apology and love stared into the blue depths that were tinged with
sadness and concern.
"I could not sleep and went to make some herbal tea," replied
Erestor, dropping his eyes as he spoke words that did not tell the
entire truth. "I was about to return to you when I saw the twins
open your door, so I went to my chambers instead."
"Aye, and left me at the mercy of their far too inquisitive minds.
They told me they saw you, and they were surprised to see you in
such a state of disarray. Is there something amiss, my love?"
Glorfindel had easily sensed the deception in the one he knew so
well, but said nothing, hoping Erestor would speak honestly.
"Nay, all is well," replied Erestor, shaking his head against the
strong chest where he had rested it for a moment. "Do you still plan
to take them riding this morning," he asked as he tightened his arms
about Glorfindel's waist, relishing the feel of the strong rhythmic
beat of his heart against his ear.
"I did promise them I would, but I would much rather spend the
morning riding you," Glorfindel replied seductively, smiling at the
slight blush his words caused his lover.
"Whilst I am conducting the council meeting, you mean, since that is
where I will be until noon?" teased Erestor, becoming slightly
alarmed when Glorfindel merely raised an eyebrow as if considering
the merits of that idea. Fortunately for Erestor's dignity, he
decided against it.
"Nay, your charms are for my eyes alone. Are you free this
afternoon?" he asked hopefully as he nuzzled the soft skin of
Erestor's neck, taking great pleasure in causing shivers of delight
to course through his beloved's body. The highly aroused advisor
shook his head and sighed heavily with obvious regret.
"I have a class to teach, and you have warriors to train, but after
that I am yours for the taking, my love," he said, reaching up to
run his tongue over the sensitive tip of Glorfindel's ear. The
seneschal groaned wantonly and pulled his advisor close for another
kiss that was so filled with need and longing that, had not the
excited voices of Elladan and Elrohir calling his name interrupted,
Glorfindel would have taken his more than willing lover then and
there. Panting with unfulfilled desire, the lovers had no choice but
to separate and straighten robes that had somehow become unbuttoned
and fallen open in the ardour of the moment. They moved back into
the open as if nothing had happened.
"I will see you after the evening meal, if that is convenient, Lord
Erestor," said Glorfindel, reverting to the more formal mode of
speech the two used in public.
"Indeed it is Lord Glorfindel. We need to discuss your latest report
before you go back out on patrol. I will expect you an hour after
sunset," he said with a slight bow before offering the twins a
hug. "I will see you two immediately after the noon meal and I will
hear no excuses this time about the hardness of seats compared to a
horse's back. You may bring pillows to sit on if necessary," he
added with a gleam in his eye and a wink for Glorfindel who was
chuckling merrily.
"Aye, my lord," came the sullen replies. They both hated history
lessons no matter how interesting Erestor tried to make them.
"Come then, shall we race to the stables?" Glorfindel's challenge
lifted their spirits and soon the three were running across the
courtyard, laughing happily.
**********
Glorfindel returned from the training grounds just on sunset, and in
his desire to be with his love, he decided to see if he could
convince Erestor to join him in a bath and a private dinner. Knowing
Erestor would still be working in his study, Glorfindel made his way
there only to find the door slightly open and the advisor in
conversation with Lindir. He was about to enter unannounced when the
minstrel's words stopped him in his tracks.
"So I will not expect to see you later tonight, my dear Erestor?" he
asked.
"Nay, I have plans to meet with Glorfindel tonight, but once he
leaves on patrol tomorrow, I will be free for the next several
nights and we can continue without risk of being caught." Glorfindel
sagged heavily against the wall as Erestor's words stabbed at his
heart. Had he truly lost his love to Lindir?
"You really should tell him, you know," said Lindir who had been
Erestor's friend and confidant long before he met Glorfindel.
"I will, but not until he returns. I can not allow him to go on
patrol with such a distraction on his mind. Mmmm, that feels
wonderful, Lindir." Erestor murmured and Glorfindel could not help
but peer into the room to see what had made his beloved moan.
Jealous rage overtook him as he watched Lindir massage the taut
muscles in the bare shoulders and he stormed into the room.
"Take your hands off him, now!" he shouted angrily, tears of hurt
streaming down his cheeks as he pulled the smaller elf away from
Erestor. The advisor stared in momentary disbelief then inclined his
head to Lindir who nodded his acknowledgment of the silent dismissal
and left the study, closing the door behind him leaving the lovers
to their privacy.
"Glorfindel, what is the meaning of this?" Erestor demanded in a
voice that did little to hide the dangerous rage beneath its
deceptive silkiness.
"He does not have the right to touch you so intimately, unless of
course he is your new lover. Is he?" Glorfindel asked, his eyes
filled with such fear and pain that Erestor's anger drowned in his
beloved's tears. He reached for the seneschal's shaking hands
placing one against his chest just near his heart, and the other
against Glorfindel's.
"Do you feel that?" Erestor asked as he tilted Glorfindel's chin
upwards so that their eyes met. The seneschal nodded. "Do you know
what it is?"
"Your heart beating... and mine."
"Nay, it is the beat of OUR heart, for my heart and yours are one
and the same. You are the love of my life, Glorfindel, now and
forever." Erestor promised, sealing his vow with a tender and
loving kiss.
"I love you too, my sweet Erestor," Glorfindel said as he sank into
one of the armchairs, pulling his beloved into his lap and stealing
another kiss as he did so. "Will you not tell me the secret you are
keeping from me but that you can share with Lindir?" Erestor did not
fail to notice the jealous edge that remained and knew he would have
to be totally honest with Glorfindel. His lover deserved nothing
less.
"Lindir is helping me prepare your begetting day gift. It is not
ready and is meant to be a surprise but I will show you what it is
if you insist," he replied.
"Nay I, it obviously pleases you to make me wait, but tell me, were
you with Lindir last night?" Glorfindel asked, subtly letting the
one he held in his arms know that he had not believed his earlier
explanation.
"Aye, we were working on your surprise, but I also did need to make
some herbal tea to help me recover from your vigourous and lustful
attentions." Erestor admitted as he wriggled seductively against his
lover's hardening groin before standing to slowly remove his robes.
He grinned wickedly as he moved his naked form away from the hands
that reached for him, returning quickly after he had locked the
study door. Glorfindel's eyes darkened with desire as he allowed his
tunic and leggings to be somewhat forcefully and erotically removed.
This time when he reached for Erestor, his lover willingly melted
into his arms.
"I am yours, Glorfindel, claim me, take your pleasure in me,"
Erestor begged wantonly of his highly aroused lover. Their love
making was wild and passionate, reaching an intensity of ecstasy
they had never before experienced and which left them both drained
and sated.
They had giggled like young elves caught misbehaving when they
realised that Elrond had been working next door and on hearing them
scream each other's names as they climaxed together, he had knocked
sharply on the door and suggested that they keep their voices down
unless they wanted the whole of Imladris to learn of their
relationship.
"I will miss you when you go on patrol tomorrow," Erestor said
sleepily as he relaxed in Glorfindel's arms.
"I will miss you also my love, and I will be eagerly anticipating
receiving my gift when I return," replied Glorfindel unable to
stifle another yawn. "Come, let us spend the night together in my
chambers," he suggested as he quickly donned his now crumpled tunic
and leggings that had been slightly torn in their hasty removal.
Erestor's robe had fared little better he mused as he noticed two
buttons missing, but the garment served to cover his nakedness.
"We both look a mess," commented Glorfindel as he tried to
straighten his hair by running his fingers through the tangled
tresses before doing the same for Erestor.
"Let us hope that we do not run into those inquisitive twins,"
laughed Erestor as they dared to walk hand in hand through the
hallways that lead to the sleeping chambers.
Early the next morning, Erestor accompanied Glorfindel to the dining
hall to share their final meal before the seneschal left to go on
patrol. To their surprise, Elrond was already seated at their table,
and instead of greeting them with his usual warm smile, his eyebrows
furrowed in a frown of displeasure.
"My dear Elrond, you look rather tired, did you not sleep well last
night?" Glorfindel enquired as he sat beside his lord.
"Did you two bother to sleep at all after your stimulating and
extremely loud encounter in Erestor's study?" Elrond teased in
return, his voice laced with sarcasm and innuendo. Erestor and
Glorfindel exchanged the most innocent of glances.
"Not to mention satisfying and extremely enjoyable," Glorfindel
added with a wicked gleam in his eye.
"Aye and exhausting. Now that you ask, I recall, we may have slept
for a few minutes, but only long enough to renew our strength,"
Erestor replied with a shrug.
"Do not fret, Elrond, your peace will not be disturbed for several
nights. I am leaving for the northern borders after I have sated my
hunger . for food, that is. I can never have enough of my lover," he
added in a lowered voice as more elves entered the hall.
"Is it not well past time you two made your relationship public
knowledge?" Elrond asked, raising his eyebrows in exasperation.
"It would certainly prevent every single elf in Imladris from
propositioning my irresistible Balrog slayer," Erestor mused.
"They do not all fancy me, my love. I have deterred many who
expressed a wish to sample your delights," said Glorfindel.
"So I have heard, but Lindir is not one of them," replied Erestor as
the silver haired minstrel entered the hall. "You owe him an
apology, love."
"I know," Glorfindel said as he left Erestor's side and walked over
to Lindir. He bowed politely then spoke a few words of obvious
apology that were accepted by the minstrel as was the invitation to
join Elrond's table.
"You did not answer my question," Elrond said when Glorfindel and
Lindir were seated.
"If you are suggesting a binding ceremony then I am afraid it is far
too late for that, Elrond. As the respected lore master you are, you
of all people should know that by every law and custom of the
Firstborn, and the Valar as our witnesses, that Glorfindel and I
have been bound ever since the first night we expressed our love for
each other with our bodies," replied Erestor with a softness on his
face that only Glorfindel had ever seen before as he recalled that
wondrous night and he looked with open adoration at his seneschal as
he felt a strong hand grip his under the table.
"I think I would like to openly declare my love for you with some
kind of informal ceremony, my beloved Erestor," Glorfindel
admitted. "I love you and I want everyone to know it," he added as
the advisor stared into his eyes.
"I love you, too, my golden one, and if that is truly your wish then
I will gladly grant it, here and now," said Erestor as he reached
behind Glorfindel's neck and drew him close, claiming his lips in a
deep, passionate kiss. When they finally parted for air, they were
met with stunned silence followed by a rousing cheer from
Glorfindel's warriors. Tears of happiness filled the seneschal's
eyes and he found he was unable to resit pulling Erestor into his
arms for another kiss that was so powerfully erotic and filled with
lust and need that all sense of discretion left them as they ground
their hardened arousals together. Elrond and Lindir exchanged a look
of alarm, and with great difficulty separated the lovers before they
ravished each other on the dining table.
"I suggest you two finish this in private," said Elrond when he
finally gained the attention of the lusty pair, who both nodded and
quickly left the dining hall.
"Was that part of my begetting day gift?" Glorfindel asked as his
lay with his sated body wrapped in Erestor's arms.
"Nay. It was as much a surprise for me as it was for you."
"And a very pleasing one at that, for us and all the onlookers,"
snickered Glorfindel.
"I am afraid my reputation as a staid and aloof advisor no longer
exists," Erestor mused with a hint of disappointment.
"I would think not, but you have exchanged it for being known as the
object of my heart's desire, if that is any consolation."
"And the envy of all those young hopefuls. Aye, I find I like that
idea very much. Come, I will show you your gift before you leave so
that you will return soonest from your patrol," said Erestor as he
hurriedly dressed.
"This is simply an old tapestry," said Glorfindel when they finally
stopped wandering through the less frequently used part of the Last
Homely House.
"Pull it aside," Erestor urged, watching with amusement as
Glorfindel did so to reveal a hidden doorway. "Here you will need
this," he said offering his lover a shiny brass key. Glorfindel
unlocked the door and allowed Erestor to lead the way. They climbed
a flight of stairs that ended at another door that was slightly
open. With a gentle shove, Erestor pushed Glorfindel forward into
the spacious chamber that was devoid of all furniture except for a
thick rug before the fireplace.
"I have never been here before," said Glorfindel as he walked over
to the large archways that opened out onto a balcony. "This view is
stunning, Erestor!" he said as he gazed on the waterfall that seemed
to cascade from the very roof into the river below, parting the
trees that grew down the mountainside that was spread out before
them.
"We have total privacy here, and will not be disturbed whenever we
chose to come here. And neither will we disturb anyone, especially
Elrond," he said, his eyes darkening with desire. "My love this is
my gift to you, these are our chambers, Glorfindel, not yours or
mine alone and as you can see we have much work to do to make it our
own. So what do you think?" Erestor asked, waiting nervously for a
response.
"It is a wonderful gift, beloved and I think that my patrol can wait
a little longer while we make good use of that soft looking rug, and
our new found privacy," said Glorfindel as he lifted Erestor into
his arms and carried him to the hearth.
Inhibited was one word that could never be used to describe
Erestor's lover, and with the added sense of freedom their isolated
location gave him, Glorfindel gave full voice to his love for the
advisor, shouting his cries of ecstasy and pleasure at the top of
his lungs.
"Harder, Erestor! Deeper!" he demanded, groaning and writhing
wantonly when he realised that the louder he uttered his need, the
faster and more forceful Erestor's thrusts became and the more
intense was the pleasuring within the tight passage both for the
owner of the silken shaft of steel and the one whose centre of
delight it struck time and again.
"Ai Glorfindel. I love you!" Erestor managed to murmur as, without
faltering in the rhythm of his movements, he bent to claim his
lover's lips in a bruising kiss.
"I love you too," Glorfindel replied as midnight blue eyes focussed
on eyes as black as the gates of Mordor, both widening in
astonishment when small voice entered the private conversation.
"Where is you night shirt, Erestor?" asked a child's voice that they
both recognised as belonging to Elrohir.
"Maybe he lost it," answered another, that of Elladan.
"He. does.not. need. one. when. he. is. with.me," Glorfindel said,
grunting between each word in time with the movement of his lover's
hips. Erestor almost fainted with embarrassment when he looked up
into the innocent eyes of Elrond's sons, but a quick pinch of his
hardened nipples and a feral growl from Glorfindel directed his
attention back to his more immediate concerns.
"Stop hurting Glorfindel!" Elladan commanded as he began pounding
Erestor's back while Elrohir tried vainly to separate his elders.
Glorfindel pushed the small hands away and held his lover in a
possessive embrace.
"He is not hurting me, he is making love to me," he said as he
sought Erestor's lips for a lingering kiss. "Ignore them and finish
what we started, Erestor!" Glorfindel demanded, consumed by the fire
coursing through his body as his climax neared and not caring in the
least that they now had an audience.
"As you wish, my love!" Erestor replied, unable to deny his
beloved's every need as he thrust even deeper into his lover and
released his seed a heartbeat before he felt his hand covered with
the creamy warmth that accompanied Glorfindel's spasms of ecstasy.
"Erestor!" "Glorfindel!" two voices screamed in unison into the
almost empty room before the advisor slumped into a listless, but
satiated heap against his equally exhausted and thoroughly pleasured
lover. They rested like that for a few moments until their panting
ceased and then without allowing Erestor to move, Glorfindel turned
to face the intruders who, having heard and seen some very strange
things, were now looking very frightened.
"Do you need a healer, Will I call Adar?" Elladan asked, thinking
that the two had suddenly become ill. Elrohir had acted more
practically and covered his naked elders with a sheet as he had
often seen Elrond do to his patients, smiling shyly when Erestor
offered the child his own smile of gratitude.
"We will definitely need to speak with Elrond," Glorfindel assured
the twins, "but first please explain what you two are doing here.
Surely it is well past time you were asleep in bed." Glorfindel
managed to keep his voice stern although he secretly decided the
whole situation was more amusing than anything else and he would
have laughed out loud did he not know that such a display would
upset his beautiful, sensitive lover.
"We saw Lindir disappear behind the tapestry yesterday and we wanted
to know where he went," explained Elladan.
"But why at this hour?" Erestor asked, fully understanding childish
curiosity, but suspecting there was more than that to the tale.
"We waited for Lindir to come out and he was very angry when he saw
us and said we were not supposed to be in this part of the house,"
Elrohir admitted.
"So you two are as disobedient as ever," muttered Glorfindel under
his breath.
"Am I to assume that you did indeed go to bed, and are now taking
advantage of the fact that everyone thinks you are sound asleep?"
Erestor asked. The children looked confused and unsure how to answer.
"Erestor means did you sneak out of your room thinking you would not
be caught exploring when you should be asleep," Glorfindel
clarified, kissing the frown of anger from his lover's brow as two
heads nodded their agreement with the seneschal's words.
"They are only children Erestor, do not judge them too harshly," he
whispered.
"Can I ask a question?" Elladan took his role as elder brother very
seriously for one so young. Glorfindel nodded. "Were you and Erestor
trying to make a baby?"
"Nay silly, they were `making love', that's what Glorfindel said
they were doing" Elrohir corrected his brother before either of the
stunned adults could reply. "What is making love? And why were you
moaning?" Elrohir asked innocently.
"Those are questions it is your Adar's duty to answer, but rest
assured neither of us was being hurt," said Erestor in his best
tutor's voice.
"Indeed we were not," Glorfindel confirmed, grateful for the sheet
that was v=covering them as he slipped his hand between Erestor's
legs and softly caressed his lover's rising member.
"Behave please, Glorfindel. I do not intend to further the
children's education in this matter," Erestor hissed, his words
betrayed by his body as his legs moved apart to allow his lover's
hand better access.
"Elladan please take your brother to your Adar and ask your
questions. Also tell him that Erestor and I have an important matter
to discuss, but we will speak with him later," Glorfindel instructed
the elder twin. "Oh, and Elladan, please lock the door on your way
out," he added, bending to lick the enticing curve of Erestor's neck
as soon as the children had left. Glorfindel, grinned wickedly as he
tightened his hold Erestor's fully hardened member, moaning with
desire when the advisor gasped with pleasure. "Now, where were we
before we were so rudely interrupted?"
Elladan and Elrohir stood at the bottom of the staircase that was
the entrance to the lovers' refuge, listening to the now more
familiar sounds from above.
"They are making love again!" Elrohir exclaimed in surprise. "How
much love do they need to make in one day?"
"I do not know, but I am sure Adar can tell us. It seems to be a lot
though," Elladan replied sulkily.
"What is wrong?" Elrohir asked as he took his dismayed brother's
hand and lead him towards their parent's bedchamber.
"We have to find Glorfindel another gift, I do not think he will
ever need a nightshirt as long as he has Erestor," Elladan replied
with wisdom beyond his years.
