for Yule.

idea. Tessa and Raven, this is dedicated to you guys. *grins*

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens;
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens;
Brown paper packages tied up with strings;
These are a few of my favorite things.

Erestor noticed again this year, that as it got closer to Yule,
Glorfindel got grumpier and more depressed. He was determined that
this year would be totally different. This year Glorfindel was
going to learn how to enjoy Yule once more. In the week before
Yule, if Glorfindel was not out on *another* patrol, then he
sequestered himself in his rooms.

It was just before sunrise on the day before Yule that found Erestor
making his way to Glorfindel's rooms carrying a large bulky box.
He set down the box for a moment, knocked hard enough on the door to
make sure he woke the warrior up and after picking the box back up,
entered without invitation.

He glanced over with a smirk at the mighty Balrog Slayer as he sat
rubbing his eyes like an Elfling, yawning loudly and scratching his
chest. He did not know how delicious he looked, sitting there with
his hair mussed and the sheets puddled around his waist.

"Erestor? Do you know what time it is?" He demanded. "And what's
in the box?"

"Aye, it is time for you to be up, we have a long day today. And
you'll see."

Glorfindel rolled his eyes, lay back down and pulled the covers over
his head with a groan.

"Go away. I am off duty today and I wish to sleep."

Erestor walked over to the bed, grabbed a corner of the sheet and
whipped it off of Glorfindel's body. He swallowed and pretended he
did not notice the delectable naked body exposed to his eyes. Next
he moved to the heavy curtains that were drawn and opened them, then
threw open the balcony doors to let the fresh air in. Smirking as
Glorfindel tried to find his covers as the blast of winter air hit
his skin.

"Erestor, I will not be responsible if there is another Kinslaying."

Erestor just smirked and went to Glorfindel's wardrobe. He pulled
out leggings, shirt and a heavy tunic, throwing them at the warrior.

"Get dressed. When we are finished here, we will be going to the
market."

He chuckled at the low growl.

Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels;
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles;
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings;
These are a few of my favorite things.

"I am not going anywhere. We had a blizzard last night, the snow is
deep, it's cold and I'm going back to bed."

Glorfindel grabbed his blankets once more and tried to lay down
again. Erestor wouldn't allow it to happen. He pulled the blankets
from Glorfindel's grasp, and tossed them into a corner.

"Come now, get dressed. We have to decorate."

"What?"

Erestor turned his black eyes to the warrior, forcing himself not to
drool over that luscious body before him.

"I did not stutter. I said, get dressed, we have to decorate."

"And we have to decorate...why?"

"Because Yule will be here in a week and you are not ready for it."

"Erestor..."

"Oh come now Glorfindel, you have moped every Yule since your
return. Do you not think it's time to join the rest of us as we
celebrate?"

"I have my reasons."

"Yes, yes. I know you do. Now must I go wake Elrond and have him
order you?"

"Well, I *could* go back to bed then."

Erestor stopped in the middle of removing things from the box. He
looked at Glorfindel sadly, his dark eyes growing moist. Erestor
looked down at the floor.

"I only wish to, one year, share my joys at Yule with my best
friend."

Glorfindel sighed. "I have my reasons Erestor, you know that."

"I know Glorfindel, but do you not think it's time to put those
hurts away? Do you not think it's time to make new memories?"

Glorfindel got up and quickly slid into his leggings, lacing them
only half way. He went to Erestor and lifted his chin, using his
thumb to wipe away the single lone tear that rolled down his soft
pale cheek. He drew the small Elf close and wrapped his arms around
his waist before lightly kissing his forehead. Erestor snuggled
into his embrace, and lay his head upon Glorfindel's shoulder.

"It is hard Erestor. This was always our favorite time of year
together. And now..."

He pulled away and went to the balcony doors, looking out at the
deep snow that was slowly being lit by the rising of Anor. He felt
small arms wrap around his waist and Erestor's head leaning against
his broad back.

"I know Glorfindel, that is why you must make new memories. Not to
take the place of the old, but to make them easier to bear." He
pulled back and stepped in front of the warrior, looking up at
him. "I wish to help you with this. Please."

Glorfindel sighed as he looked down into pleading black eyes. He
gently lifted a hand and tucked a stray lock of ebony hair behind a
delicately pointed ear. He watched as Erestor's eyes fluttered
closed for a moment, his head tilting into the caress.

"If it will make you happy and wipe the sadness from those
patheticly sorrowful eyes, all right."

The smile that was bestowed upon him in that instant, blinded him
with it's brilliance. He could not help but smile himself, when the
smaller Elf pulled back and clapped his hands. Glorfindel shook his
head as he was dragged to the box filled with Yule ornaments.

When the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Within the hour, his room sparkled brighter than the Yule tree in
the Halls of Fire. How would he get sleep in a room that glittered
thusly? He chuckled as Erestor grabbed his cloak from the wardrobe
and then like a small Elfling, dragged him down to the kitchens
where he had breakfast waiting.

After eating eggs and ham, fruits and cheese, all topped off with
sweet rolls and hot apple cider, he was once again being dragged
down the hallways of the Last Homely House and outside into the
pristine white snow. His breath caught in his throat, and Erestor
turned his shiny black eyes to him, his smile even bigger than
before.

Waiting in the courtyard was a sleigh.

The sleigh was white and trimmed with silver in a scrolling
filigree. The runners were made of mithril and the whole was
decorated with evergreens. Bright red poinsettia flowers were
placed at each corner, and a large wreath hung from the back. Four
white horses decorated in red tack trimmed with silver bells, stood
at the ready. Bright red bows were tied to their docks.

Glorfindel looked down at Erestor who was near bouncing on his feet,
smiling up at him. He could not help but chuckle at the smaller Elf
and after rolling his eyes, Glorfindel helped Erestor into the
sleigh.

Erestor covered both of their laps with luxurious white furs and to
Glorfindel's surprise, snuggled close. This left Glorfindel to be
the one to take up the reins. With a click of his tongue they were
off, the sound of the sleigh bells jingling brightly in the brisk
winter air.

Glorfindel felt himself relax, gazing in wonder at the frozen beauty
around him and listening to the soft singing of Erestor's lilting
voice. He glanced over at the smaller Elf and smiled to himself.
Black eyes were shining bright, and Erestor's nose and cheeks
reddened from the cold wind. He never looked more exquisite than he
did now.

They rode through the forest, Erestor pointing out the occasional
snow hare and hart, or the bright red splashes of color as a
brilliant red cardinal hopped through the bare snow covered branches
of the trees. Glorfindel found himself laughing and singing with
the dark haired Elf, being pulled into the magick of the moment.

They finally arrived to the winter market, and Glorfindel laughed as
Erestor scrambled from the sleigh before he had even brought it to a
complete stop. He shook his head at the smaller Elf as he hopped
from foot to foot, impatiently waiting for Glorfindel to secure the
horses and sleigh. When done doing so, he suddenly yelped as he was
pulled into the throng of men and other Elves who were enjoying the
beauty of the day.

"Erestor! Slow down!" The golden warrior laughed.

"Come on Glorfindel, there is much to see and much to do!"

Erestor urged him on, still pulling him by his hand. Finally
Glorfindel planted his feet and refused to be budged. Erestor
frowned and looked back at him.

"What is wrong? Why do you stop here?"

"How am I to shoot my bow, or wield my sword on patrol if you
continue trying to wrench my arm from the socket?" Glorfindel
crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

Erestor blushed and looked down at his feet like a chastised
Elfling. "I am sorry, Glorfindel." His pout turned into a
brilliant smile when the large warrior offered his arm. He took his
arm shyly, and the two started walking sedately and with the grace
being Elvish blessed them with.

It did not last for long.

Soon he was being pulled along once more by a small eager Elf, who
was trying to do everything at once. Within an hour, he had to
temporarily leave Erestor's side to drop off what the little Elf had
purchased so far. There were matching books for the twins, a few
hair clips for Elrond, and bolts of cloth for Arwen. For Melpomaen
there was a crystal ink pot and an exotic quill, for Lindir there
was a small lap harp.

Glorfindel made his way back to where Erestor had promised to stay
put, and shook his head as he saw more packages sitting at Erestor's
side. He sat at the wooden table with him, murmuring his thanks as
a goblet of hot mulled wine and a bowl of steaming stew were pushed
towards him.

"Will you not eat also Erestor?"

Shining black eyes met his, "I already have. Now hurry, there is
much more to see!" Glorfindel chuckled and shook his head and
picked up his spoon.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes;
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes;
Silver-white winters that melt into springs;
These are a few of my favorite things.

By the time he was done eating, Erestor was close to bouncing in his
seat. He laughed as he was pulled from his seat and packages were
shoved into his arms. He followed the dark Elf towards music,
shaking his head as Erestor jumped up and down trying to see over
the crowd. Glorfindel's eyes widened in astonishment as the Elf
finally squeezed himself through the crowd. He pushed himself
forward also, not wanting to lose Erestor and was soon by his side.

Glorfindel watched Erestor watch the acrobats performing, the
brilliant smile on the smaller Elf's face warming his heart. When
the show was over, he re-arranged the packages in his arms and
tossed a few coins. Soon the crowd dispersed and they were free to
continue roaming.

Eventually Erestor convinced Glorfindel to buy some gifts of his
own, and so he once again went back to the sleigh to unburden
himself so he could free his arms up. For the twins there were
matching daggers, and a bracelet for Arwen. Elrond would recieve a
new astrolabe, Melpomean a new leather bound journal and Lindir
would recieve a box of top quality vellum to record songs and poems
upon. He bought other smaller gifts for the other members of the
household as Erestor did, waiting until the smaller Elf had scurried
off to the next tent to purchase his gift for him. Finally, to
Glorfindel's great relief, Erestor deemed it time to head back to
the Last Homely House.

After securing their packages, the two Elves were back in the sleigh
and on their way home. During their time at the market, the sky had
clouded over and soon snow was falling gently from the sky.
Glorfindel felt Erestor once again snuggle into his side and looked
down, his breath catching as Erestor smiled up at him. Snowflakes
looked like stars upon his black hair, and fluttered down to catch
upon long dark lashes. Ruby red lips smiled up at him and it took
all his willpower not to kiss them.

They soon pulled up into the courtyard of the Last Homely House, and
after instructing some servants where to deliver the packages,
Glorfindel started to walk up the stairs. He did not notice right
away that Erestor was not following. Not until he felt something
hit him in the back of the head and drip coldly down into the collar
of his cloak. He slowly turned around and saw Erestor standing with
his hands over his mouth, trying to contain his laughter. Erestor
could not, however, keep his shoulders from shaking, nor could he
hide the wicked sparkle in his eyes.

Glorfindel smiled softly, his eyes glinting, as he slowly walked
back down the stairs. He stopped long enough to scoop up a large
handful of snow, that he immediately started packing tightly between
his hands. Erestor's eyes opened wide and he yelped. Glorfindel
watched as he turned and started running.

"You cannot get away from me Erestor." Glorfindel called out. He
laughed as Erestor turned towards him and stuck out his
tongue. "You cannot escape the wrath of Glorfindel, Balrog
Slayer!" He bellowed out in a mock angry voice.

Erestor rolled his eyes, and ran.

Glorfindel soon caught up to him and with a great roar, knocked the
smaller Elf down into the snow. He quickly shoved snow into
Erestor's tunic causing him to cry out from the cold and wriggle
beneath him. They struggled against each other, trying to get snow
down as much clothing as possible, both laughing and squealing all
the while. Soon both were breathless, faces glowing with exertion.
Glorfindel helped Erestor to his feet, and the two cold, wet Elves
made their way into the Last Homely House.

The warrior escorted Erestor to his rooms, his eyes reflecting the
smile in the smaller Elf's. "Thank you Erestor, for a wonderful
day. I shall cherish it always." He was already starting to dread
going back to his rooms, where he knew memories from his past life
would once again take hold of him. Erestor must have sensed this.

"If you would like Glorfindel, after you warm yourself in a bath and
put on dry clothes, maybe you could..." Erestor blushed. "Maybe
you would like to come back with the gifts you purchased? We could
have dinner here...and...and then we could wrap our gifts
together?"

Glorfindel did not realize what he was doing until too late. He
lifted a hand and gently stroked Erestor's delicate cheek with his
finger. He looked deep into obsidian eyes, his heart suddenly
beating rapidly.

"I would like that Erestor." he murmured.

He watched as Erestor blushed and lowered his eyes. Glorfindel
dropped his hand and stepped back with a bow, "I shall return in an
hour, Erestor." He turned on his heel and with a light step made
his way to his rooms.

Glorfindel arrived an hour later, bearing the gifts that he needed
to wrap. Well, all but one, as that would need to be wrapped in
private. He also carried with him a bottle of Elrond's best wine
and the herbs to mull it with. His eyes grazed over Erestor's form,
taking in the black leggings, loose white shirt and bare feet.
Erestor had also left his hair unbound.

Glorfindel licked his lips, "I bring wine." He mentally banged his
head on the wall. `You bring wine? Of course you bring wine, he
can see that!'

When the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

Erestor took the wine with a bright smile and stood back, asking
Glorfindel to enter. Glorfindel looked around and noticed a
sideboard loaded with roast pheasant, steamed vegetables, breads and
honey. For dessert there were several fruit dishes to choose from.
He followed Erestor to the table that was set and after seating
Erestor, sat across from him.

They shared the meal, talking of their day and their purchases.
When dinner was done, they made their way over with their gifts for
the others and sat before the fire. Erestor had bright cloth and
ribbons waiting for them to wrap the gifts in. After Glorfindel's
first few disasterous attempts at wrapping his gifts, Erestor
laughingly showed him the proper way of doing so.

Soon the two Elves were sitting quietly in front of the fire and
sipping their wine, their neatly wrapped gifts piled around them.

"Thank you, Erestor."

Erestor turned his head to look at Glorfindel, "For what?"

"For helping me to create new memories. For being my friend."

"You are welcome," Came the soft reply, "But we are not done for the
night yet."

Glorfindel turned his blue eyes and gazed at Erestor. "We're not?"

Suddenly Erestor's black eyes started to sparkle once again with
mischief.

"Now what Erestor?" Glorfindel mentally groaned. What could the
smaller Elf have planned this late at night?

"Follow me."

Suddenly Erestor was up again, tugging on Glorfindel's hand.
Glorfindel followed him to a storage room where a large box was
shoved into his hands. He watched Erestor pick up another and
followed him outside.

"I requested from Elrond that the tree in the courtyard be left
undecorated. Since you did not help in the hanging of the ornaments
on the tree in the Halls of Fire, I thought I'd have you help me
decorate this one."

Glorfindel smiled down into hopeful black eyes. Once again he found
himself lifting his hand and stroking a soft cheek. "I would be
honored, Erestor."

Soon Ithil was shining his brilliance down upon a bright tree,
decorated with colored balls, and other wonderous baubles. The two
Elves stood back to admire their handiwork. Glorfindel noticed
Erestor shiver and automatically wrapped an arm around him, pulling
him under the warmth of his cloak. The smaller Elf looked up at him
gratefully and then suddenly smiled his beautiful smile.

"It's after midnight Glorfindel. Happy Yule." Erestor murmured
softly.

"Happy Yule, Erestor." He whispered back.

Glorfindel escorted Erestor back to his rooms where he was invited
in to warm up once more. When Erestor shyly pulled out a gift for
him, he quickly told him to wait a moment and ran to his own rooms.
He wrapped Erestor's gift and then made his way quickly back to the
dark Elf's rooms. They both sat before the fire, Erestor wriggling
in anticipation as he looked down at the box in Glorfindel's hands.

"What is it?" Erestor asked excitedly.

Glorfindel laughed and handed it over. "Well, open it and find
out."

Erestor quickly unwrapped the gift and reverently opened the small
box it was in. He gasped and looked up at Glorfindel, "It's
beautiful!" He lifted the gold torc from the velvet lined box, his
eyes shining. "Will you place it around my neck? Please?"

Glorfindel moved closer, his eyes drawn to the exposed expanse of
creamy flesh as Erestor lifted his long, luxurious locks. Oh how he
wished to place a soft kiss there, and lap softly at the skin with
his tongue, tasting. He shook his head to clear it and gently
placed the torc around Erestor's throat. The small Elf turned back
around and their eyes locked.

"Thank you." Erestor softly whispered.

"You are welcome." Glorfindel whispered back.

They continued to look into each others eyes for a long moment, each
loath to break the spell that was weaving itself around them.
Finally with a blush, Erestor pulled back.

"I have one for you also."

Glorfindel took the small box and unwrapped it. He stared down into
it, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Glor...Glorfindel?" Erestor moved closer to him, concern etched
all over his face. Glorfindel felt small fingers under his chin,
lifting his head so that Erestor could look into his eyes.

"Glorfindel? What...what is wrong? I did not mean..."

Glorfindel wiped his eyes and shook his head. He cupped Erestor's
face, "You did nothing wrong. It's just...it's..." He looked deep
into worried black eyes and smiled tremulously. "It is just the
most beautiful thing that has ever been gifted to me."

Erestor smiled shyly and looked at him with worried hope. "Truly?

"Truly." He watched as Erestor visibly relaxed.

"Will you put it in my hair?"

"I would be honored." Erestor whispered reverently.

Erestor gathered some of Glorfindel's hair together and clipped it
with his gift, a phoenix rising, holding the golden flower of
Glorfindel's House in its talons. He was glad that the symbology
had not been lost on Glorfindel.

Glorfindel turned back around and looked deep into Erestor's eyes.
He cupped his face once again and felt himself drawn to the ruby
lips. He watched Erestor's eyes widen as he moved closer to those
lips, wanting...needing to taste them.

"Glor...Glorfindel?" He barely heard whispered.

"Thank you, Erestor." Glorfindel whispered against the soft lips.
He chastely kissed Erestor and then pulled away, his insides
trembling as much as Erestor was trembling on the outside.
Glorfindel watched as Erestor swallowed and tried to get himself
under control.

"You're..." Erestor squeaked and then cleared his throat, "You're
welcome Glorfindel. I am glad you like it." He lowered his eyes
shyly and moved to pour them more mulled wine.

They drank silently, both staring deep into the flames of the fire
before them. Soon, Glorfindel noticed Erestor's eyes fading in and
out of reverie. He pulled the small Elf close and Erestor
immediately snuggled into his side and fell into reverie.
Glorfindel lay him down and spooned up behind him, his strong arms
wrapped protectively around the small Elf.

Glorfindel woke to bright sunlight streaming across his face. He
groaned and stretched, looking around in confusion, relaxing when he
remembered where he was. He had fallen to sleep holding Erestor in
front of the fire. He looked around and did not see him. Frowning
Glorfindel sat up.

"Erestor?"

There was no answer. He went to pull the blanket off that had been
placed over his sleeping form and noticed a piece of parchment with
Erestor's writing.

When the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.

`Dear Glorfindel,

I could not bear to wake you up, you looked so beautiful and
peaceful sleeping there. I am sorry to have left, but I was called
away by Elrond. An important missive arrived late last night from
Mirkwood and he wanted my councel. Please make yourself at home.

Thank you once again for a beautiful day and evening, and thank you
for such a beautiful gift. I do not think I shall ever remove it.
I have had breakfast delivered for you and...and I know you normally
do not attend, but I was wondering if you would do me the honor of
being my dinner companion tonight at the Yule Feast?

Yours,

Erestor'

Glorfindel smiled softly and stood, tucking the note into his
tunic. He made his way to the sideboard where his breakfast awaited
him. After eating, he made his way to his rooms to bathe.
Afterwards he would go to Erestor's office and arrange with him to
pick him up and escort him to the Yule Feast. A Feast that he had
avoided attending since his return.

Butterflies fluttered in his stomach as Glorfindel made himself
ready for the evening. He smiled as he thought of the brilliant
smile bestowed upon him when he had gone to Erestor's office and
told him he would be honored to be his escort. He had seriously
expected the small Elf to throw himself into his arms by the look on
his face.

Elrond had watched the whole exchange with both eyebrows raised in
question. But the two had only had eyes for each other, and no
answer was forthcoming.

Glorfindel cursed as he emptied his wardrobe, one robe at a time
looking for the right outfit. Finally he settled on what he wished
to wear. Once this was done, he sat himself in front of his vanity
and started to place the braids of his House into his hair. Braids
he had not worn since his rebirth. These were all gathered together
not, with his formal circlet, but with the hairpiece Erestor had
gifted to him, the rest fell loosely around his shoulders and hung
down to his waist.

Next he dressed.

He wore tight black leggings that were enhanced by the shiny black
thigh high boots he wore. A white shirt with billowing sleeves was
covered with a sleeveless tunic of a deep forest green velvet. The
tunic's collar and hem were decorated with golden thread, ivy
twining around small delicate golden flowers and fell in soft folds
to the tops of his boots. It was split up the sides to the waist
and he belted it with a thick black belt, into which he placed a
formal golden dagger encrusted with green jewels.

Glorfindel was aware of the stares following him as he made his way
to Erestor's chambers and hoped Erestor would find him just as
enticing. He knocked and waited, his eyes widening as Erestor,
dressed for the Feast, opened the door.

Erestor looked beautiful and resplendent in deep maroon robes. They
were trimmed in gold that made his warm black eyes, seem even
warmer. His hair was worn loose and held back by a simple gold
cirlet. Around his neck was the torc Glorfindel had given him the
night before.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes;
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes;
Silver-white winters that melt into springs;
These are a few of my favorite things.

"You look lovely, Erestor." Glorfindel said softly.

Erestor blushed shyly. "As do you, Glorfindel."

"Well...shall we?" Glorfindel offered his arm to the small Elf.

"I would be honored." Erestor took his arm and the two made their
way to the dining halls.

Silence filled the hall as the two Elves stepped through the double
doors. Glorfindel, who had not been seen within these halls during
Yule, held his head proudly, and Erestor simply blushed at the
attention they were drawing. Elrond stood and made his way over to
them and gave them each a hug.

"You both look wonderful." He looked deep into Glorfindel's eyes
and smiled softly. "And welcome, Seneschal. It is an honor to have
you here. Please, I insist you sit at the head table with me."

The two Elves followed their Lord, and after Glorfindel seated
Erestor, sat next to him. As they dined, they laughed with their
Lord, imbibing of the wine that flowed freely. The table was finely
set with the finest Imladris had to offer. Venison and pheasant,
boar and rabbit were accompanied by a plethora of steamed, baked,
and grilled vegetables, and breads hot out of the brick ovens.
There were rich sauces and gravies and a variety of pies and cakes
baked to perfection. They ate their fill and then joined the other
Elves as all eventually made their way to the Halls of Fire.

Erestor never left his side and Glorfindel was welcomed by all who
attended. They sang a song of welcome to Anor as the Yule fire was
lit by Elrond from the piece saved from the year before. Soon
dancing started and Glorfindel watched Erestor watching the others
dance with longing in his eyes. He took Erestor's drink from his
hand and set both of their goblets down. Erestor looked at him
questioningly and blushed when Glorfindel spoke his request.

"Will you honor me with a dance Erestor?"

"I would love to."

As they made their way to the floor, suddenly the music changed to a
slower song. Erestor looked up at him, "If you wish to wait for
another..."

Glorfindel pulled the smaller Elf into his arms. "Nay, this one is
perfect I think." As the two started dancing, their eyes only on
each other, they did not notice as the others stopped to watch.
They did not realize how perfect they looked in each others arms.

"Erestor?" Glorfindel flushed this time, feeling like an
Elfling. "I...I was wondering if.." He stopped for a moment and
cleared his throat.

"Yes, Glorfindel?"

"I...I was wondering if you would...allow me to court you?" He
finished with a rush.

He knew the answer when Erestor smiled up at him, his heart soaring
with his answer.

"Aye Glorfindel, it is my greatest wish." The dark Elf whispered.

Glorfindel pulled him closer and with a smile in his eyes looked
up. Erestor followed his gaze and blushed.

"We are standing under the mistletoe."

"Aye, we are."

"You are going to kiss me."

"Aye, I am."

"All right."

Glorfindel slowly lowered his head, his arms tight around Erestor's
waist and his heart beating rapidly. He placed a gentle kiss upon
the waiting ruby lips, moaning softly as they opened beneath his,
inviting him to deepen the kiss. Arms wrapped around his neck,
tightening as he slowly slipped his tongue inside the sweet cavern.
Forgetting where they were, he deepened the kiss. They both panted
softly when he pulled away.

"Thank you, Erestor."

The Elf looked flustered. "For what?"

"For giving me new memories." Erestor twined his hands into the
golden hair and pulled him down for another kiss.

"You are welcome."

"Glorfindel?"

"Yes, Erestor?"

"Happy Yule."

"Happy Yule, Erestor."

Silver-white winters that melt into springs;
These are a few of my favorite things.
