Author's Note: I'm a little late on this, and for that I ask
forgiveness. I had done a meme on my lj where they could give me a
line from one of my stories and if I did not guess it, then I had to
write them a ficlet. This one is dedicated to my dear Nemesi. Love
you sweetie, and I hope you enjoy love. Love, Vesta

Tu mia sola vita, tu mio solo cuore
dentro quanti cuori batterai,
Tu mia sola aria, tu mio solo sole
dentro quanti occhi brillerai.

Glorfindel winced as he got closer to Erestor's office and heard not
only his voice raised, but a crash of glass shattering.

"What is wrong with you? I simply asked you to transcribe this
letter and you have botched it!"

Glorfindel listened with sympathy as Erestor's assistant mumbled his
apologies. He peeked inside the open door and winced again. Maybe
this was not the right time. He started to turn away when Erestor's
voice stopped him.

"And what pray tell do you want, Glorfindel?"

Glorfindel turned to face the Chief Councilor, suddenly feeling
shy. He blushed and lowered his head, scuffing the toe of a boot
into the carpet. "Well, I..."

"What is it Glorfindel?" Erestor snapped. "Have you come once more
to harrass me? To make my life hell?"

Glorfindel shook his head, "Maybe this is not a good time, I'll
just go." He turned to leave.

"Stop!"

Glorfindel sighed and turned back towards the Councilor. He looked
at the dark Elf, blushing all over again. `What is wrong with me?
I used to love tormenting him and now all I can do is blush!'

Ti ricordi ieri non uscivo fuori
da un dolore che non rivedrai,
Grazie per l'onore, grazie per l'amore
e per tutto il bene che mi dai,
e specialmente sai, per questi sogni miei
che vivono con noi

"What brings you here, Glorfindel? I do not have time to play
games!" Erestor moved closer and stood looking up at him, his arms
crossed as he waited for Glorfindel to answer him.

Glorfindel sighed and looked over at Erestor's assistant, who was
trying hard not to show interest in the coversation. He looked back
at Erestor and once again lowered his eyes.

"I..." Glorfindel cleared his throat and scuffed the toe of his
boot once more. "I was wondering if...you would like to take a walk
with me after the dinner hour." He finished with a rush of words.

"Excuse me?" Glorfindel looked up feeling suddenly shy at the
eyebrow raised very similarly to Elrond's.

"I wondered if you would like to walk with me after the dinner
hour. In the gardens that is."

Erestor was shocked and his eyes narrowed in suspicion. What was
Glorfindel up to? Why did he suddenly wish to walk with him? His
nemesis and bane?

"Why?"

Glorfindel lowered his head again and whispered, "Because I wish it."

Erestor surprised himself and Glorfindel both when he
answered. "Alright, I shall join you after the dinner hour then."
Erestor turned away, dismissing Glorfindel with a wave of his hand,
not seeing the brilliant smile of happiness that suddenly crossed
Glorfindel's face.

Sei mia per sempre, tu che lo sai
Com'ero ieri, tu che mi volevi gia.
Sei mia per sempre, tu che eri la,
Voce nel buio dicevi: per te sono qua.

Glorfindel took special care with his appearance that night. He
donned black form fitting leggings, his legs covered in shiny black
thigh high boots. He wore a cream colored shirt with a dark green
sleeveless tunic over it that reached the tops of his boots but was
slit to the hip on both sides. This was belted with a thick black
belt with gold embroidery that accented his lean hips and broad
chest.

His hair he had braided in the elaborate braids of the House of the
Golden Flower, a style he wore for special occasions. Twined within
the braids were ribbons of green and all was held back by a clip
wrought into a golden flower.

When he entered the Dining Halls, all talking stopped. He did not
notice it as his eyes sought Erestor's. An eyebrow was raised and
he blushed as Erestor's eyes raked over his body. He lowered his
eyes. He took his normal seat, directly across from Erestor and
looked up at him once again. Erestor had an amused look on his
face, but his eyes glowed darkly. Glorfindel blushed again and
raised his glass in response to Erestor's silent toast. Their eyes
met and held as they both sipped their wine.

Erestor was still feeling suspicious, wondering what Glorfindel was
up to. He would walk with him, he would play in his game if only to
find out what it was Glorfindel had planned. Then he would rip him
apart for whatever it was he was planning on doing to embarass him.

When all stood to convene to the Hall of Fire, Glorfindel smiled
shyly at Erestor and moved to his side. "Will you join me on that
walk now?"

Erestor smiled back, though with his suspicions, the smile did not
reach his eyes. Glorfindel did not seem to notice this as he
blushed and held his arm out for Erestor to take. Erestor raised
his eyebrow once again and with amusement took the proferred arm and
allowed himself to be guided outside and into the gardens.

Tu mia sola luce, tu che mi dai voce,
Tu che dai speranza ai giorni miei,
Tu che mi colori tutti i miei pensieri,
senza te sognare non saprei.

Glorfindel was suddenly nervous and tried to concentrate not only on
the Elf holding his arm, but on the beauty of the garden under a
full moon. All of the colors were muted in the dark, the smells
enhanced by the warm spring evening. He saw a perfect rose bud, but
before he had a chance to bend over to pick it Erestor suddenly
pulled away. He looked up startled at the dark haired Elf.

"Erestor? Is something wrong?"

Erestor turned on him, his face showing fury. "What is this all
about Glorfindel? Why have you brought me here? What torment do
you plan on laying upon me this time?"

Glorfindel straightened himself and looked down at the smaller
Elf. "I know not what you are speaking of. I brought you out here
to simply take a walk." He felt his heart sink, maybe this *HAD*
been a mistake. How was he going to convince him after all he had
put the smaller Elf through in the past?

Erestor snorted derisively. "I know you Glorfindel, you never do
anything without a purpose, especially when it comes to me. So out
with it. The sooner you do whatever it is you are planning, the
sooner I can get over my embarassment and find my rest."

The golden haired Elf shook his head. "Maybe this was a mistake
after all. I do not know how I am going to convince you."

"Convince me of what?"

Glorfindel shook his head once more and started to turn away. "It
matters not," he whispered, "as I said you would not believe me
anyway."

Vita mia tu sola, solo tu mio cuore,
quel che sono ti regalerei,
Dentro una canzone troverai da sola
un po di quel bene che mi vuoi
e specialmente sai in questi sogni miei
che hai regalato a noi

He stopped, his head lowered when he felt Erestor's hand upon his
arm. "Oh no you don't Glorfindel. You have humiliated me too many
times, and now that you are caught you will *NOT* back away from
it. Come, get it out. I am waiting."

Glorfindel whispered, "I only wished to open my heart to you. To
tell you..."

Erestor sighed with impatient exasperation. "Tell me what?"

"I love you."

Erestor dropped his arms to his sides. "What did you say?"

Finally Glorfindel got up the courage to look at the smaller
Elf. "I said, I love you," he whispered once again.

To Glorfindel's horror, Erestor's eyes suddenly welled up, though he
fought hard not to let the tears spill over.

"How could you?"

Glorfindel looked puzzled. "Wha...?"

Suddenly Erestor seemed to grow before his eyes, anger etched all
over his face.

"This is low Glorfindel, even for you." He started pacing back and
forth, his hands moving through the air. "You have ever did your
best to embarrass me, to humiliate me, to anger me. I know it is a
part of your nature to try your best to be the bane of my
existence. But for you to stoop so low as to try and play with my
heart in such a manner. HOW DARE YOU?"

Glorfindel rocked back from the force of the slap, his eyes open in
shock. When it finally registered with him that Erestor was now
angrily walking away from him, he ran forward and turned the
Councilor around to face him.

Sei mia per sempre, tu che lo sai
Com'ero ieri, tu che mi volevi gia
Sei mia per sempre e sono la,
Non piu nel buio, per dirti
Per te io sono qua.

"I do not play with your heart Erestor. I love you. I wish to
court you." He said earnestly.

Erestor shook his head, his eyes welling up with angry and hurt
tears once more. He tried to pull from Glorfindel's grasp, but the
golden Elf would not allow him to.

"I cannot believe that you would try to play with me in such a
manner." Erestor said with a trembling voice. "Unhand me
Glorfindel, I do not wish to see your face unless absolutely
necessary ever again. Do I make myself clear?"

"NO!"

Erestor's eyes widened at the sudden anger in Glorfindel's eyes,
feeling his body being shook. His surprised gasp as lips met his
allowed Glorfindel to deepen the kiss quickly but gently, catching
him off guard.

The world fell away.

In it's place was sweet, soft, sensual warmth and the taste of
cinnamon. The blood rushed through his ears, drowning out all other
noises, his heart beat hard within his chest. Lights in the colors
of the rainbow wrapped around him, their warmth suffusing his body.
He could taste Glorfindel's love upon his tongue, could feel it in
the strong arms wrapped tightly around his waist.

He did not know when his arms came up to wrap around Glorfindel's
neck, but he clung to him, to his warmth like one who had been lost
but was now found. Glorfindel tightened his grip and with a soft
growl in his throat, deepened the kiss. He poured his love, his
heart and his soul into that kiss, proving to Erestor one thing.

Glorfindel was telling the truth.

Glorfindel loved him.

Erestor felt his heart soar, his fea reaching out and touching
Glorfindel's, accepting his love. Accepting the truth. He moaned
softly into the kiss, melting into Glorfindel's embrace. When it
seemed he was going to run out of breath, Glorfindel broke the kiss
with a gasp. They stared into each others eyes, Erestor's wide and
questioning, Glorfindel's full of love and smiling.

Glorfindel leaned in and placed his forehead against Erestor's. "I
love you." He whispered.

Erestor nodded.

Glorfindel pulled back and looked deep into his eyes, "May I court
you?"

Erestor cupped his face with his hands and answered with a kiss.

Per sempre mia tu sei vorrai,
Per sempre tuo mi avrai,
Per sempre noi.

The End

(English Translation of the Song)
You'll Be Mine Forever
You, why I am living
You, my only feeling
Just how many hearts have you inspired?
You, what I am breathing
You, the light revealing
In how many eyes are you admired?
And do you remember?
When we weren't together?
Loneliness was all that came to mind
Thanks so much for giving
Thank you for your loving
And for all the joy you helped me find
But most of all I know
The dreams I live with you
It's you that made them real
You'll be mine forever
I'm sure you know
Today as always
My love it can only grow
You'll be mine forever
It's always clear
A voice in darkness
It's saying: for you, I am here
You, how I am seeing
You, why I am singing
You, that's bringing hope to all my days
And it's you that colors
All my thoughts like flowers
Without you my dreams would fly away
Life is to be with you
Hearts are made to love you
Those are all the gifts that I can give
Only in a love song
Can you find just how strong
Are the reasons you give me to live
But most of all I know
The dreams we have to share
It's you that made them real
You'll be mine forever
I'm sure you know
Today as always
My love it can only grow
You'll be mine forever
It's always clear
No more in darkness
I'm saying: for you, I'm always here
Forever mine, if you desire
Forever yours, my design
Forever us.
